Green Card Requirement: Sex? March 22, 2008

Once again, ignore random unneeded spaces, going from Word-> WordPress is a bad idea when it comes to formatting.

A US immigration screening officer is being charged with sexual assault after supposedly forcing a young Columbian woman to have oral sex with him. Isaac Baichu, 46, is the officer at charge here. After meeting with the woman and her husband, an American citizen, Baichu told them that no problems had arrived but he would like her cell phone number in case something should arise.

3 days later calls started and Baichu told her that they would have to meet to “discuss matters”, strangely they would have to meet alone. At their private meeting, in a car on Queen Boulevard, the young women was ready to record their discussion for an unknown reason. On the recording Baichu is accussed of stating “I want sex, one or two times. That’s all. You get your green card. You won’t have to see me anymore.” The woman said she was afraid that if she didn’t comply, she wouldn’t receive her green card. After agreeing to meet up with him again later, Baichu told to her do it now, to insure she was serious. She refused at first, but after a bit of time she complied.

Baichu was arrested last week and is facing the charges now. He faces a charge of up to 7 years. His lawyer has asked he following questions:

-Why should would meet Baichu alone?

-Why was she ready to record unless she knew something was going to go wrong?

Baichu’s lawyer has also stated that the woman was going for a U-Visa, a type of green card for those who are victims of crimes or under part of an investigation. Baichu’s agency has suspended him with pay.

I believe that there is a serious problem with our offices if such a coincidence is happening. According to CNN, there have been multiple other charges within recent. In this current case I believe that Baichu should definitely face the full 7 year charge, crimes such as these should not be under-represented. Also I wonder why Baichu’s lawyer is trying to make a case that the woman supposedly knew something was going on because of her being ready to record at the secret meeting. I think common sense tells us that this meeting was definitely not one that would be a casual thing. I believe that she was in her full right to be ready to record, if I myself were put in that situation I would have refused to meet alone and if needed ask for a different officer, one who would not have something against me because I refused to comply to his unorthodox requests.

Yeah to me this sounds like your run of the mill corrupt government official. He get s some power and uses it to extort what he wants. I completely agree that he deserves the time and I think from time to time the officials need to be checked on by an undercover officer posing as an immigrant.

    “absolute power corrupts absolutely”
This is a good example of just another pervert trying to take advantage of the situation. He acted innapropiately for the situation and now he is paying for his crime. He did get what he deserved.
